Library Books Acquistion
Project
To stock
the newly completed library building (funded with a grant
from the European Union) and in part to fulfill its charter goal,
Strathmore is undertaking a 3 year campaign to
source and ship from North America 80,000
books. Friends are sought to help leverage this bold effort
to address Kenya's acute poverty of books. Click here for

Student Loans
Project
To address
Kenya's need for a new generation of leaders from all economic
classes, Strathmore is working on a project to
create innovative private sector loan financing. The goal:
financing of 50% of the need for 50% of the
students. Nothing would be more transformational for
Strathmore and its students. Beyond the benefit to Strathmore, the
project could pioneer such funding techniques for the entire private
education sector. Friends are needed to help provide baseline
funding to help more of Kenya's best attain the Strathmore

College of Tourism and
Hospitailty Management
Tourism and hospitality is Kenya's
second most important industry. One in ten Kenyans depends in some
way on the tourism industry for his livelihood. The industry
represents an critical source of wealth creation for Kenya. As part
of its effort to be more for Kenya, Strathmore contemplates the
establishment of a new degree-granting College of Tourism and
Hospitality Management. Click

Development Office
Project
To help Strathmore
University rise to the next level, the University is establishing a
special Office for Development and Alumni
Relations. Building on the school's vigorous spirit
and the affection of graduates and friends, Its purpose is
to achieve economic diversity and self-sufficiency
through the introduction of modern methods for institutional
advancement. Thiswould make a first for East African higher
education. Friends are sought to help achieve this capacity building
