Marriott Hotels interviews class of 2013

Marriott International represented by Marriott Middle East & Africa, the world’s biggest hotel chain was in Strathmore recently to interview candidates for their management training program – The Voyage.

In the two years program undertaken in Middle Eastarea, a successful candidate will end up specializing in one of the following development tracks – Operations (i.e.Food & Beverage or Rooms), Sales, Finance, Revenue, Human Resources, Culinary and Engineering.

 Speaking before the interviews, Mr Sayed Haggag, Director Talent Acquisition for Middle East & Africa “As part of Marriott’s Voyage Management Graduate Training Program, you will be expected to lead by example and show the qualities of our future leaders, using your knowledge and experience to guide and motivate your colleagues.Our 24 month programs incorporate regular reviews, training courses, project opportunities and key tasks and responsibilities throughout the year. One of the advantages of having such a large number of hotels is that we are able to provide a wealth of opportunity to ambitious individuals who like to move on and experience different positions. Opportunities for our graduates are outstanding.Our 24-month ‘Voyage’ Program opens up all kinds of avenues. Once completed, you could be in faster career track: managers, departmental heads and senior leaders. You might be joining our opening teams starting up new hotels within the region.”
