IESE Business School

The IESE MBA students visited Strathmore Business School (SBS) from the 14 – 25 January 2013 for an intensive 10-day program titled ‘Doing Business In Africa’. This is the first time that IESE Business School has their students in Africa for a learning program. The group comprised 35 students drawn from different nationalities.

The aim of the program is to give the students insights into what doing business in Africa involves, as well as the challenges facing businesses in Kenya. The IESE MBA program participants were students from diverse international backgrounds with a few years’ working experience. For most of their students this was first time visiting Sub-Saharan Africa.

Part of the students’ experience included working with a number of local businesses to solve various business challenges. The students were accompanied by the IESE MBA Academic Director Prof Alejandro Lago and Elena Santodomingo the Associate Executive Director. They were taught by Prof Ninno Vaccaro (IESE Business School), Dr Fred Ogola (SBS), DrRobert Mudida (SBS), Prof David Sperling (SBS) as well as Dr George Njenga (SBS – Dean).

IESE Business School is ranked among the top 10 business schools globally and first (2012) in Executive Education.
